The WEEK magazine included Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) as street fighter in its Republic Day special.

The magazine listed 25 great street fighters from all over India. L.K.Advani of BJP, Mamata Banarjee of Trinamool Congress, Spiritual Guru Baba Ramdev, Anna Hazare, Medha Patkar, VHP president Ashok Singhal and Revolutionary Singer Gaddar are other eminent personalities in the list.

He was an actor for many years, before he joined politics by launching Telugu Desam Party 1982.
His famous slogan is "Arise, awaken, the Telugu nation is calling". He was inspired by Swami Vivekananda.
His political philosophy was based on the self respect of the Telugu People.

He has an attractive personality. He was a very hard working and disciplined man. He can inspire people and can able to turn ordinary people into extra ordinary personalities. He believes in dignity and self respect. He has the ability to form an emotional attachment with voters.

He likes honest people and never tolerated cunning people. He never gives shelter to dishonest people. People honor him in such a way, even if he commits a mistake, people think that the mistake was done by his followers. They treated him just like a God. His mythological roles helped him in that aspect.

Telugu cine film industry elders still talk about his discipline. He used to say that his life was an ocean. With his strong personality and inspiring speeches, He defeated congress party with in 9 months of party formation. He was the only leader who matched Indira Gandhi in chrishma.

Telugu Desam Party received Rs.1,53,47,692 funds as contribution in 2004 assembly election.

TDP is in fifth place in the fund receiving Parties.

BJP received highest funds(Rs.34,15,46,289) followed by Congress ( Rs.32,05,55,643).

As per section 29C of Representation of peoples Act, Political parties should submit details of funding they receive.

Chandrababu Naidu in 150 Pioneers of Communications

Voice and Data Magazine selected Telugu Desam President Nara Chandrababu as one of the Pioneers of Indian Communications. In its special Issue, It praised Naidu as a great visionary.

As per Magazine, He used communications for Governance effectively. He brought out drastic changes in the way Andhra Pradesh Government functions. He advocated global thinking and the use high speed digital communication facilities in order to find a place in world map.

He conceived Andhra Pradesh broadband project for implementing E-Governance applications.

In 1995, Chandrababu Naidu became the CM of AP and under his supervision, DoT has connected all 1125 mandals in the Andhra Pradesh state with fibre-optic networks.

-> Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao -- or simply "NTR" -- was keen to do something for the people. He resolved to dedicate his life to social work after he turned 60.

-> While filming "Sardar Paparayudu" in October 1981, he suddenly announced plans to float a political party. Telugu Desam Party was formed in March 1982. NTR turned 60 on May 28, 1982.

-> NTR built his Telugu Desam Party with the support of Ramoji Rao, Eenadu daily Editor, the largest circulated newspaper in the state. Both stalwarts were members of NTR's Kamma community.
